Overview

The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was used as a replacement for the well known SBD Dauntless Dive-bomber. The Helldiver was upgraded with a larger engine, strengthened fuselage, and larger payload. The Helldiver is considered less known around the world from its pilots critiques. Many pilots found the plane to be twitchy and hard to control. Pilots switched back to the SBD Dauntless for those reasons. On the model here, the lightweight design makes up for its twitchy tendencies. If you want to help keep the legacy of Helldiver alive, try building one for yourself!
