Overview
If you're looking for a beautiful foam board racer with clean lines, the 13th Squadron DH88 Comet is for you. This plane was designed for endurance and speed. Designing for speed gave the Comet beautiful lines and class as it flies in the air. My dad likes to call it the "Flying Tuxedo" because everything about it is classy. The 13th Squadron DH88 Comet is meant to fly flat and level. This design takes scale features into every aspect of the design. This makes the flight tendencies very close to the real plane. One of the main tendencies to be aware of are tip stalls. With thin tapered wings, and no under cambered wingtips, the tip stall is quite aggressive. So if you decide to build your own Comet, fly fast, stay away from acrobatics, and just remember to keep your throttle up. However, this design is super lightweight for its engine size making the plane floaty for landings. If you're a speed demon and love to fly scale, the 13th Squadron DH88 Comet is for you.
