Overview

The 13thSquadron Ju-87 Stuka is an extremely docile and slow flying plane. At a 50 inch wingspan, the Stuka is a larger plane for this size motor. Along with that, the real Stuka is not designed to go fast. It flew slow and at a cruise speed about 236mph, or 380kph. In a dive could outrun any plane on its tail reaching speeds up to 370 mph or 600kph. With the non-retractable gear, large radiator, and side oil cooler, the Stuka has lots of drag. With all of these features it does not mean it's not powerful. The Stuka has lots of prop clearance and is very efficient giving you longer flight times. The spars for this Stuka consists of two 3/32 inch wood spar running across the majority of the wing. The reason there is so much strength associated with the spars is because the real Stuka could pull up to 10 G's pulling out of a dive. If you plan to build the 13thSquadron Stuka, you will not have to worry about wing strength pulling out of a dive.
If you plan to build the 13thSquadron Stuka there's a few things to keep in mind. Be prepared to improvise. Make sure you have experience with molded planes and bending landing gear wire. Note that these plans are in BETA form. These are the exact plans we used to build ours. We never made a second one yet to perfect it completely. Be prepared to improvise and dry fit every piece before glueing.
